A to-do list ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and any MCP assistant can use

Which AI assistants can use your to-do list? Any assistant that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol). AI TODO List hosts an MCP server, so ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Cursor can read your lists, add tasks, move them, complete them and archive them, in the same board you see in the browser. Every connection uses the email code you sign in with; there is no password or API key to copy, and one account serves all of them.

Your connection address

Every assistant connects to the same address:

Assistants with a setup guide

Each guide has the steps for that assistant, example prompts, and what to do when the connection does not show up.

Connect ChatGPT

Add AI TODO List as a connector in ChatGPT and the chat you already use becomes a to-do list that listens. Say what you need to do and it lands on the board; ask what is due today and ChatGPT reads the real list. AI TODO List is not in the ChatGPT app directory yet, so you add it through developer mode.

Connect Claude

Add AI TODO List as a custom connector in Claude and your board becomes part of the conversation. Claude adds what you mention, tells you what is due, ticks off what you finished and tidies the board when you ask. One address to paste, no API key.

Setup guide →

Connect Claude Code

One terminal command puts your to-do list inside Claude Code. Adding a task then costs one sentence, without switching windows, and the TODO comments Claude Code finds in your code can become real tasks on the board.

Connect Cursor

Cursor's agent adds the TODO you just wrote, the flaky test you promised to look at, or the message to send once the PR lands, straight to your board in one sentence. Setup is three lines in mcp.json plus a browser sign-in.

What can it do once connected?

Ask your assistant things like "what is due today?", "add buy milk and call the dentist for tomorrow" or "I finished the slides". It sees the same board you do: the lists, the tasks, their tags and due dates. Every change shows up in the browser right away. Tasks can be archived but never deleted by an assistant, so a misread prompt never loses anything.

Common questions

Which AI assistants can use my to-do list?

Any assistant that supports MCP (Model Context Protocol). ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code and Cursor each have a step-by-step guide on this page, and other MCP clients connect to the same address. Once connected, the assistant can read your lists, add tasks, move them, complete them and archive them, in the same board you see in the browser.

What is a to-do list MCP server?

It is a to-do list that an AI assistant can reach through MCP, the open standard assistants use to talk to outside tools. AI TODO List hosts one. You paste a single address into the assistant, sign in with an email code, and from then on the assistant has tools to list, add, move and complete your tasks. There is no plugin to install and no API key.

Can ChatGPT manage my to-do list?

Yes, through ChatGPT's developer mode, which lets you add your own MCP connector. AI TODO List is not in the ChatGPT app directory yet, so the guide shows the developer-mode steps. After connecting, you can say "add buy milk and call the dentist for tomorrow" in any chat and both tasks land on your board with the due date set.

Can Claude manage my to-do list?

Yes. Add AI TODO List as a custom connector under Settings → Connectors in Claude, sign in with your email code, and Claude can read and change your board. Claude Code gets the same connection with one terminal command, which is handy for turning the TODO comments in your code into real tasks.

Do I need an API key or a separate account for each assistant?

No. Every connection uses the same passwordless email code you sign in with on the web, and one account serves all of them. Connect ChatGPT and Claude and both work on the same tasks. You can disconnect any assistant from its own connector settings at any time.

Can an assistant delete or wreck my list?

No. Every connection is limited the same way: the assistant can add, edit, move, complete, reopen and archive tasks, but it can never delete one. Archived tasks stay recoverable with their history. Each change shows up in the browser right away, so you always see what the assistant did.

Is connecting an assistant included in the price?

Yes. The connections are part of the one AI TODO List subscription; there is no extra charge per assistant or per message. Using the board from an assistant does need an active subscription, and the yearly plan starts with a free month. Your ChatGPT or Claude plan is separate and is paid to them.
